WHAT IS THIS WORKSHOP?

For baby boomers, there’s been a shift in retirement income planning when compared to previous generations. This is a comprehensive personal finance workshop for those in the early stages of retirement or those about to retire. It addresses difficult retirement decisions such as income planning, Social Security maximization and the risks to avoid. You’ll learn how to incorporate health care, inflation and their considerations into your overall plan. Upon completion, you’ll be better prepared to take the necessary steps to create your own retirement income strategy.

About Your Presenter

Dan Bartholomew

Preferred Planning Services

Dan is a financial advisor of Preferred Planning Services, a company that specializes in financial planning for seniors for over 20 years. He has been an advocate for clients of the financial services industry since 2012, providing retirement income and planning services to families. He serves as a consultant for elder law attorneys and uses his knowledge and expertise with issues that seniors face to provide comprehensive financial planning for his clients. He has a thorough understanding of situations and knows how to bring financial strategies to help solve them. He continues to assist clients on crucial topics, including tax efficiency, social security, risk tolerance and retirement income.

Dan is a volunteer educator for the Financial Education Partnership, one of the largest, fastest-growing nonprofits in the country. Through his work with FEP Dan fulfills the mission of the nonprofit, which is to provide financial education and literacy to those looking to more fully understand how their finances work.

Dan is a native of Northeast Ohio and started establishing his roots in Central Ohio while earning his degree from Capital University in Bexley. He now lives in Columbus with his wife and 3 energetic children. When he isn’t working you can usually find Dan and his family at the pool or a sports field watching his kids compete in one of many activities.
